When I first saw this question, it made me sad, because the person who asked it must be struggling with how to love herself.

It’s essential that you are clear on why you need a mentor, understand their role and build a reciprocal relationship i.e. what is your mentor getting out of it?
None of us are perfect nor will we ever be. But not being perfect doesn’t make us simply imperfect, it’s just makes us uniquely ourselves.
